MANAGER Eddie Howe says he is keeping his options open regarding his team selection for Cherries’ FA Cup showdown with Liverpool.

Howe made five changes to his starting line-up as Cherries set up a date with the Premier League big guns by sweeping aside Burton Albion on Tuesday.

Goalkeeper Ryan Allsop, fit-again defender Steve Cook, winger Marc Pugh and strikers Brett Pitman and Tokelo Rantie were all recalled as Cherries ran out convincing 4-1 victors.

While Howe had hinted he would shuffle his pack, Allsop always looked certain to start as Lee Camp had been ineligible due to his permanent signing going through after the third round registration deadline.

Camp, however, will be available for selection when Cherries lock horns with Liverpool, with the experienced stopper expected to regain his place in today’s Championship showdown with Watford.

Howe, asked whether he would be sticking with a specific FA Cup line-up, told the Daily Echo: “I will have a look at things in the build up to the Liverpool game and try to make the right decisions.

“We want to win and there is no point going into any game thinking you want to be gallant losers. We know the odds will be stacked heavily against us but we want to try to cause an upset so I will try to pick the right team for that game.

“Liverpool are taking the competition seriously and I think that is really good to see.

"The fact Brendan Rodgers played his star players in their third round tie against Oldham showed the importance of the cup to them.

“Hopefully, our supporters see the full Liverpool team because that would make it an even more special occasion.”
