UTILITY man Wes Fogden became the second player to leave Cherries on a permanent transfer this week after completing his move to Portsmouth.

The flexible midfielder, who also featured at full-back during his Dean Court stint, today signed an 18-month contract at Fratton Park.

His move came a day after striker Wes Thomas switched to League One outfit Rotherham United for an undisclosed fee.

On the back of injury problems this season, Fogden, 25, had not featured for Cherries' first-team since April.

He joins League Two Pompey on a free transfer.
