PIRATES target Jack Holder has revealed that he is planning to make his debut in British league racing in 2015.

Poole promoter Matt Ford has made no secret of the fact that he is determined to secure the Australian prospect as a full club asset.

Holder, who finished 12th in the Australian Championship, is the younger brother of Chris and James and he intends to follow in their footsteps by making the move to the UK next year.

In an interview with Speedway Star, Holder said: “Next year, I am going to Britain for sure.

“I got asked by a couple of clubs for this season but I have got another year of my carpentry apprenticeship.

“I am definitely going to the UK for a holiday this year. Chris isn't riding in Britain so he is going to take me around a few places and get me a few rides. I will do that and, hopefully, I will get a spot in 2015.

“I had offers from Somerset and Redcar (for 2014). I was thinking about it. I told my dad and he said 'No, it is a year too early' so I am waiting.

“I will just do what Chris has told me to do for the best. He has told me to go into the Premier League, work my way up and see how it goes from there.”

His older siblings Chris and James Holder have both represented Pirates and Ford wants Jack to become the third brother to sign up at Wimborne Road.

Chris Holder cut his teeth with Isle of Wight before stepping up to win three Elite League titles and rocket his way into Pirates' all-time top-10 scorers.
