AFC Bournemouth: Tindall hails sought-after Spetch's Cherries showing

Tindall took in his side’s friendly at QPR on Tuesday – a fixture Cherries won 1-0 thanks to a goal from another trialist Dan Morrissey – and was suitably impressed by how the Poole Town star handled the illustrious hosts.
Dolphins defender Spetch, 22, trained with Cherries before trying to impress their Championship counterparts Huddersfield Town during a week-long stint with the Terriers.
Despite being contracted to Poole, sought-after Spetch is set to trial at AFC Wimbledon next week with Stevenage and Northampton Town understood to be monitoring his progress.
And after successfully stifling the likes of Shaun Wright-Phillips and Niko Kranjcar, Tindall was adamant Spetch had been successful in breaching the five division gap between Cherries and Southern League Poole.
Tindall told the Daily Echo: “It was a big step up for him, he was playing against a completely different type of opposition, some of whom were international players not so long ago.
“Will did really well. Watching the game no one would have been able to tell that he was not a Bournemouth player.”
The match saw several fringe players gain valuable game time, including striker Josh McQuoid who made his return following thigh and knee problems while forgotten goalkeeper Benji Buchel enjoyed a morale-boosting clean sheet.
Tindall continued: “Josh did really well considering it was his first game back. Thankfully he was able to last the 90 minutes and came through with a good performance.
“That was Benji’s first game since March and he put in a really solid display.”
