OUT-of-favour Cherries goalkeeper Shwan Jalal is understood to have linked up with League One promotion hopefuls Bradford City.

Jalal, who has not featured for Cherries this season, is believed to have trained with Phil Parkinson’s squad in west Yorkshire today.

The 30-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at Dean Court and could be allowed to leave when the transfer window reopens in January.

Jalal, signed by Kevin Bond from Peterborough in 2008, joined Oxford United on loan in September but did not make an appearance.

He was recalled by Cherries following Ryan Allsop’s sending off at Leeds in October and has been an unused substitute on three occasions.

However, Lee Camp’s arrival on loan, coupled with Darryl Flahavan’s return to fitness, has seen Jalal omitted from the Cherries squad in their past four games.

A mainstay of Cherries’ promotion from League Two in 2010, Jalal’s last competitive appearance for the club came during the 3-1 defeat at Leyton Orient in March.

Bradford, currently eighth in League One, have Jon McLaughlan as their first-choice, while Connor Ripley is on loan to the Bantams from Middlesbrough.
