LOAN recruit Nico Yennaris plans to utilise his experience of working with Arsenal’s world-class stars as he attempts to thrive at Dean Court.

Yennaris revealed he had learned valuable lessons from playing alongside the likes of football legend Thierry Henry during his schooling with the Gunners.

And having sealed a deadline-day move until January 2, the 20-year-old is hoping to capitalise on that background by proving his worth during his time in Dorset.

Arsenal youngster Yennaris, who says he is open to the prospect of extending his Cherries stay, told the Daily Echo: “I have been at Arsenal since the age of seven and came through their academy. I have had the luxury of training with some top, world-class players. It all adds up and you can’t buy that experience.

“You could not ask for more than to train with players that have won the World Cup. Thierry was a good help to me. He gave me good advice and helped me in training and in games.”

Former England youth international Yennaris has previous loan experience having made two appearances in League One for Notts County during 2012, while he has also featured four times in the Arsenal first team.

After being an unused substitute in the 1-1 draw against Brighton on Saturday, Yennaris is keen to show what he can do with Cherries.

He said: “It is another opportunity for me to come out and get first-team football. Hopefully, I will do well in training, fight for my place in the team and help the team.”

Versatile Yennaris, who revealed he had trained with Cherries throughout last week before the deal was finalised on Thursday, said his main position was right-back but that he could also play in midfield.

He added: “I like to get forward. It is the Arsenal way. I am an overlapping right-back and I just do my best for the team.

“I will try to get a few games under my belt, see how it goes and then you never know. We may extend it, depending how things are here. If things go well for me then I could not see why not.”
