FRANK Demouge is poised to sign a deal with Roda JC after heading through the Dean Court exit.

Demouge’s unsuccessful Cherries career today came to an end when his contract with the Dorset outfit was terminated by mutual consent.

A marquee signing for ex-boss Paul Groves last summer, the experienced Dutch frontman failed to make an impact during his time in the English game.

Demouge, who was plagued by injury during his stint with Cherries, played just 101 minutes for the club last season before heading back to his homeland to link up with Roda on a loan basis.

A seasoned performer in Holland, Demouge found form with the Dutch top-flight team and netted six times during a fruitful spell between February and May.

And as predicted by the Daily Echo earlier this week, Roda is his expected destination now that he is a free agent, with sources suggesting he will imminently put pen to paper on a two-year contract.

The 31-year-old, who reported back for pre-season training at Dean Court on Monday, had another 12 months to run on his Cherries deal prior to the cancellation of his contract.

After picking up an injury in his first training session, Demouge was sidelined for the first two months of last season and despite forcing his way in and starting Groves’s final two games in charge, he did not feature under Eddie Howe.
