9:46pm

Controversial finish to a routine win for Cherries.

9:45pm

Full-time: Stevenage 0 Cherries 1.

9:39pm

Darius Charles sent off for Stevenage. Brett Pitman booked. It all came after an incident which saw Harry Arter left injured in the centre circle. It prompted angry scenes on the pitch and between the two sets of staff on the touchline. Late drama.

9:35pm

Four minutes added time.

STEADY EDDIE 1 for the road says

Come on cherries, hang on.!!!!!

9:32pm

Around five minutes remaining here. Stevenage have been very poor, to be frank.

9:31pm

Very close to a second for Cherries as Grabban fires narrowly wide from 20 yards.

9:24pm

Brett Pitman working hard, holding up the ball and providing the majority of the classy moments in an uneventful game.

9:20pm

Wes Fogden has performed superbly at left-back so far. Can't imagine he has played there often, if at all, in his career.

9:13pm

Fraser was injured so another enforced change. Hughes slots into his usual deep-lying midfield role, with Grabban moving to the right and Pitman up top on his own.

9:11pm

Cherries sub: Hughes for Fraser.

Stevenage sub: Shroot for Hoskins.

9:09pm

Ryan Fraser is receiving treatment.

9:09pm

Great pressing by Arter and Grabban to win possession but Pugh is crowded out as he attempts to shoot.

9:01pm

Greg Tansey and Luke Freeman both lash shots off target after trying their luck from range.

8:58pm

8:57pm

Steve Cook clears an Akins header off the line.

8:51pm

Cherries attacking the end housing their travelling supporters.

8:50pm

Second half under way.

8:34pm

Half-time: Stevenage 0 Cherries 1.

8:34pm

Greg Tansey hits it straight at Allsop.

8:33pm

Stevenage free-kick. 25 yards out.

8:32pm

Three minutes added time.

8:30pm

Fair to say the locals thought the penalty award was harsh. Cherries decent value for the lead, though.

8:24pm

GOAL CHERRIES. Brett Pitman penalty. 38 minutes. Stevenage 0 Cherries 1.

8:23pm

Penalty to Cherries. Keeper Arnold felled O'Kane.

8:23pm

Cherries sub: Fraser for Ritchie. Fogden moves to left-back.

8:19pm

Ryan Fraser is preparing to come on in place of Ritchie.

8:17pm

Cherries down to 10 men for now.

8:17pm

Nasty clash of heads between Ritchie and Comminges. Ritchie has headed towards the changing rooms for treatment. No sub yet.

8:13pm

Sweet 20-yard strike by Ritchie is well held by Arnold.

8:08pm

Patient stuff from Cherries, playing out from the back. Howe's men have had the better of the possession.

8:05pm

Good vision from Pitman to send an early pass over the top for Grabban but his effort was too close to Arnold.

8:03pm

Pitman releases Grabban and his shot is blocked by keeper Steve Arnold. Great chance.

8:02pm

Chances few and far between so far, aside from those two early shots. Both teams aiming to end a poor run. Stevenage have lost 12 of their past 15 league games.

7:52pm

Vocal support from the away fans. Decent enough start from Cherries.

7:48pm

Lewis Grabban shoots straight at keeper Steve Arnold from 15 yards.

7:48pm

Lucas Akins fires wide from 25 yards for Stevenage.

7:47pm

Match under way.

7:45pm

The teams are out here.

7:34pm

Very cold night in Stevenage but a good number of Cherries supporters have made the trip. Looks to be about 300 so far.

7:34pm

Andy Mitchell will be providing live updates from Poole Town v Sholing. Dolphins are top of Southern League Division One South & West.

Why won't EH play Richie in his natural position

Very surprised that grabbs is starting tonight, thought he was very poor on saturday and seems to have a bit of an attitude problem at the moment. Of course i hope he proves me wrong. Also surprised that EH is still not starting with ryan fraser, surely he's a better option on the right than mcquoid or fogden. One more thing, please god no more awful long throws by cook that are easily headed away by the first defender. Having said all that i have a sneaking feeling we'll nick 3 pts tonight!

Totally agree, played extremely well on Saturday and his reward is to be left out tonight, very motivational. Also Tubbs, EH kicks the confidence out of him when he has shown us he could be he answer to our goal drought. Fingers crossed for tonight, it would be good to see Fraser on from the start, he's only ever come on when we are behind chasing a game. Up the cherries!

Ryan Lowe's scored for MK Franchise. Doesn't it make you bloody sick! He's back playing while Tommy's still out! Not very fair really.

Sure does make you sick, we even had to loan additional reinforcements in signing Painter, what a dreadful challenge that has turned out to be!! Richie coming off sounds bad, our luck can't get any worse! Up the cherries!

I guess so, but EH gave him two opportunities to show his talents but he left them in the dressing room on both occasions!

So tight we need every point we can muster now, I think the final league positions will be determined on the final weekend of the season it's going to be a heart wrenching final 8 games 24 points to play for

I was going to say that he'll only claim he got it right as he said we had to score first. Anyway, don't care what he says quite frankly, just relieved we got the win.Hopefully we'll be off and running on another unbeaten run till the end of the season, fingers crossed!
On the down side Ritchie off injured,(sounds like a bang on the head so hopefully ok for Saturday),Fraser off injured and Harry stretchered off,(really hope that's not serious!).

Pleased for Allsop,he may not have had that much to do but clean sheets are going to be really important.
We see many good visiting keepers and Ryan looks very capable, think he will be a key player in the run-in.

Scrappy 1-0 win, inevitably the way we were going to break this run. Think someone predicted this very scenario on an earlier thread today. Lets hope its the start of a five game winning streak in this roller coaster ride of a season.

Shame about the two injuries, hope they aren't too serious.

With James going today glad Allsop had a clean sheet. Give him a bit of confidence after Saturday, when he was understandably a bit shaky on debut.

And finally I don't understand why smhinto didn't get the first comment on here after the game ended, not much to say I guess.

There was no gloating in the first place. I take no pleasure from our past recent results. it is merely your stupid interpretation of my posts. This is the third time of saying this so I can only politey assume that you are intellectually impaired.
.
Could not post last night as I was trying to get past the idiots fighting at the Mansfield v Grimsby game. Had to go there to run the rule over a centre half, who keeps blowing hot and cold though.
.
A welcome three points last night and only an idiot would imply otherwise. So well done to side and for their efforts. Thank God !!
.
However, we should put things into perspective, we once have again failed to score from open play against poor opposition.
.
But three points is three points so we should be grateful.
.
Just worried about the injuries last night and wondering what sort of side we will put out at Oldham on Saturday. They will be fighting for their lives. So we need everybody fit or we will cop it.
.
Regards
