Crucial injuries yes they have been, but only compounded with the muppets you bought in to cover. Zubar should have stayed, and if you have ben retraining Partington as a Centre back he couldnt be any worse than Seabourne (embarrassing) and that left back CHRIST

It's about time the rules of football are changed to make the punishment fit the crime. I think it would be fair if the offender serves a length of time out of the 1st team for the same length of time as it takes the injured guy to return to 1st team duties. Strait red cards, especially, and yellow cards should all be treated the same.

what a stupid idea. What happens if the tackle is just a miss timed one, with no malice intended, but the player is booked and the other player gets injured and is out for the season? We have had players do late challenges over the years as well, it all swings in roundabouts. Lets just hope the lads recover soon. I for one felt a wobble would happen, as it does to all teams, and i feel its better to happen now than at the end of the season. Start picking up points again back into play offs, and try to push for top 2! keep the faith

If a player is assaulted on the pitch then it makes perfect sense that the perpetrator at least suffers the same absence as the victim.

Think Lowe should have got a longer ban given the nature of the incident. Compare his challenge with Nani's red card yesterday! Hopefully some good news re Elphick and Daniels but not sure about Tommy given Eddie's comments .. started running....hopefully back ahead of schedule....but some way off. Good to see Doncaster and Brentford throw away points yesterday.

Stephane Zubar too has a crunch day today, when he will know whether he is likely to play again this Season. But lets wish them all luck, with them all available we might still make it this Season.

I believe that the left back i.e Marcos Painter was not match fit, hence, his poor displays.

It was reported that he had only played three competitive games this season.
.
I have seen him play on a few occasions and is a capabale defender (when fit that is).
.
Unfortunately, I cannot see Elphick and Daniels back soon. Simply because they need to get match fit and that could talk two (reserve)games or so. By which time we would have run out of games to pursue our promotion crdentials.

Why do certain people keep on criticizing Eddie's decision with letting Stephane Zubar go to Bury on loan?
At the time Zubar was sent we had a settled back 4 and there was no possibility of Stephane breaking into the starting line up.
As Eddie pointed out at the time, Zubar needed and wanted to be playing regularly. He could have stayed but neither Elphick nor Daniels might have got injured. Zubar would have been left kicking around in the reserves.
Eddie (Howe!) is an honourable bloke, and once he'd sent Zubar to Bury for the rest of the season I imagine he would have loathed the idea of recalling him within a few days, so he brought in Seaborne as cover for Daniels initially.
When Elphick got injured there was the initial hope that it wasn't so serious so we got by with Ritchie dropping in for Daniels and Seaborne switching to a central defensive position.
Possibly upon a recommendation by Elphick and Cook, ex-team mates, we brought in Painter but probably due to lack of match fitness he didn't fit in.
I would guess that it was at this time that Eddie considered bringing Stephane back but, as fate would have it, it coincided with him getting injured at Notts County with Bury.
All being well, all 3 players will be back before too long or at least 2 out of 3 wouldn't be bad!

Erm......I unless my eyesight is failing me I do believe that I do mention 'Painter', just after 'Possibly upon a recommendation by Elphick and Cook'.
Admittedly the reference is a brief one but then so have his appearances been!
