You have our support that is for sure, put this one behind you and work hard this week then the rewards will come!! This team is to good to let one defeat lead to another, I am fully expecting a great cherries performance on Saturday and will take my seat as usual to cheer them on to a crucial win!! UTCIAD!!

Defeats happen. I was at the 5-0 loss at Morecambe in our Div 2 promotion year.

You have to dust yourself off, re-focus and go on another winning run.

I'm sure Eddie will analyse what went wrong and learn from it just like he did before.

As for the defeat on Saturday I believe that Ed was right. We have played three games in a week with all the traveling involved, so fatique is one factor.

Secondly, with ref to my post in Friday, Preston fired their manager recently and therefore were rejuvinated and had to prove themselves to any new manager, and what better stage than in front of the league leaders. In addition, we have Daniels and Elphick missing, you can get away with it for a while but then the absences will catch up with you,

I cannot see more than a draw against Sheff Utd at best. The next three games will shape our season. If we drop points against them then it is season over.

You started your post in a fairly positive mode and I was about to agree with your first comment. However, you then have to return to your normal negative tripe. We have lost 2 in 20 and you are now saying that if we slip up over the next couple of games that our season is over.

We will beat Sheff Utd as well as Coventry the following Tuesday to keep our promotion push firmly on track.

this sort of result is always likely to affect teams at the top, and I am reluctant to critisise anyone, but Eddie made 2 mistakes the first in gambling with the fitness of Mark Pugh who is very important to the team and the dropping of Euan O Kane who has performed well above form in recent games, I have no doubt the team has the ability to bounce back, but the next 2 home matches will show us if they have the temperment to justify being at the top of the table

A mere blip, like Eddie has said even the best teams lose, we could not have possibly expected to have gone on for the rest of the season without losing even Manchester Utd and Barcelona lose occasionally, look at Man City. As for that Smhinto you are a real prophet of doom, why do you even bother getting out of bed in the morning.
We will get promoted because we are a very very good side with a superb manager and a very supportive board.

What was up with Preston's pitch? not a blade of grass in sight!! We need to get out of league 1 and play our football on the championship clubs decent pitches!

But it's not just one game is it ? Pompey and Crewe (by all accounts) were poor performances.

We won at franchise against 10 men and all those penalties against Crewe.

It's all very well saying you have to win when not playing well, but that can't last. This is the bad spell that was coming.

I remain concerned about the defence and still can't understand the transfer window activity. We had Daniels out and Cook at the time under threat of jail, yet we brought in only Seabourne and farmed out Zubar. And we brought in 2 wingers.

I think the team must have been reading all the tosh on this site about us being the best team in the league and how we were going to win the league. Some are still writing this now ! I think you will see the best side visit Dean Court on Saturday, and their bad spell is behind them !

Sorry, but I think we are looking at play-offs at best. If the season falls away now, we will look back to the transfer window with regret.

Just as well you are not a Sheffield Utd supporter as you would have torn your season ticket in half as they only won 1 game in 6 matches after Christmas but now they are 2nd in the league and try not to analyse too much as the squad Eddie has assembled is the strongest in this division and that is why over the course of the season we will end up as champions by a country mile and its great to read all the other posts that believe that too-and just for the record a 3-0 victory on Saturday roared on by a full house.

We are entering the stage of the season when there are going to be very few easy games with teams scrapping for points, whether at the top or bottom, often on poor pitches. This is the time when games are going to be decided by good players producing that moment of skill or flash of brilliance to make the difference. I believe EH has assembled a squad with enough of this type of player along with good, dependable professionals. When you look at the other promotion contenders can they boast the same? Keep the faith!

I agree. Why on earth would you loan out a Central defender in Zubar, then loan in one from another club? Daniels is the key and without him bursting down the wing overlapping Pugh we don't have a left wing presence any more. Ritchie looks alright but doesn't stand out in our squad. And then we get in a left back who is unfit and not good enough to warm the bench at Brighton. Need to win on Saturday make no mistake! Come on you reds!!!!!!

As liked as Zubar was by the supporters he has never been Eddie's preferred choice. Considering we have risen from the relegation zone to top stop in Zubar's absence, you can't criticise Eddie's judgement.
