And to think that their manager, whilst condemning Lowe's behaviour, sought to lay the blame at Elphick's feet by saying he had goaded him and that our players were making derogatory remarks about Lowe's family as he left the pitch.
The fact that some MK Dons actually applauded Lowe as he left the pitch says all there is to say about them.

Its was an aberration and made me feel ill just watching it, its only a game after all! I pray that Tommy is OK. It spoiled what was a fantastic day at a lovely stadium and made our win far less sweet.

Willo was saying in commentary that Tommy and Lowe were at it 5 minutes before the assault, can't call it a tackle. Seems Elphick was saying to the ref that Lowe had stamped on his foot then, so if true Lowe was out to maim Elphic one way or another, it's an absolute disgrace. Karl Robinson has gone down in my estimation as well, I'm SO pleased we ended up with Eddie back and not KR here, who wants to follow a team that try and bully themselves on teams ala Notts Clownty...

Watched it on the football league show and I honestly felt sick after watching it. It looked like it could have broken Tommy's leg in half , praying he's okay , been an absolute rock for us this season . UTCIAD

I seem to remember a well known Scottish player getting into bother for a head but during a game and winding up with a 3 month custodial sentence. Surely if the tackle on Elphick isn't bad enough then the kick at Francis should decide it! I am not saying that he should go to jail but he should definitely face a lot worse than a 3 match ban. I also notice that he kicked Elphick in the first event which led to them going toe to toe. Lowe was thrusting his shoulder into Tommy as well. With all this available on tv to the FA they should act. That is not the sort of behaviour that should be tolerated in any sport.

A very unpleasant tackle , which could make life very difficult for us if Tommy has a serious injury, particularly at a time when the Jury is out on Steve Cook, they resume their deliberations on Monday, should it go the wrong way for him then we could well be without a fit recognised Centre Half at the Club. I hope there is a recall arrangement for Zubar! But, good luck Tommy, lets hope that it all goes well for you.

If the injury is as bad as it could be, then this could have a massive impact on our promtion chances....not forgetting the career of a lad who has been outstanding for many weeks now.

Could our Chairmen think about reporting this to the Police please - an official complaint for assault, that`s what it was, premeditated assault, nothing to do with football, the man is a thug and should be treated accordingl;y.

I felt sick at the stadium when it happened. Our crowd reaction was a momentary quiet, then sadness. For this to happen at all anywhere is unforgivable. The player knew the gravity of the situation and walked off immediately with the ref making sure he got out of the way as quickly as possible. The authorities should deal with it. The reaction of our team did us credit.

Well,that's alright then as Karl Robinson didn't make the tackle,after condeming Lowe he then proceded to blame Tommy,our players and staff for goading him! Are you an MK fan in disguise?

Lowe should have a long ban, not just a 3 match ban especially if Tommy is out for a long time.

I dont know where you were sitting but all around me the crowd were incandecent with rage, not quiet nor calm. I think the chorus was YOU DIRTY NORTHERN B****RD.
Have a look at the picture in todays Sun, Lowe's face says all you need to know. He couldn't handle the fact he was being dominated by Tommy and lost the plot. If Tommy is out for a period of time, Lowe should be banned for that period + 3 games.

Daniels should be back next week. Seaborne back in the middle alongside Cook and problem solved.

The FA won't review the ban as the ref has already handed out a straight red card. It'll be 3 games and that's it.

I gather that MK Dons have fined him too, so all we can do now is hope that Elphick isn't injured long term.

I think it doesn`t matter what if any additional punishment lowe recieves,fact is it doesn`t help Tommy or AFCB.lowe will be fit and available after three games,who knows how long TE will be missing,according to facebook someone saw that he had tweeted(yes I know,take this with a pinch of salt,as in-my mate knows a man down the pub who etc...) that initial thoughts suggest he could be looking at a month out,although of course until the scan no-one will know.Unfortunatly looking at the fixtures it`s obvious that we will probably need our strongest possible line up in four out of next six matches
As for Zoobs availabilty(this may be wrong)but I recall hearing them discuss this situation on Solent and that unless an immediate recall clause is included in the loan,a player can only be recalled once the first month is up.
After watching the reports both on sky and beeb,I notice that their fans weren`t very gracious in response to our first two goals,several of them employing hand gestures.There was a big fatty in a blue hoody sat right behind the goal,unhappy at Grabbs goal,however come MP`s goal(first half added on time)and he was no-where to be seen,obviously gone for his half time refreshment-can you imagine the look of the staff in the refreshment kiosk-`here comes big old fatty(again),best ring up the kitchens and get another 20 pies and a gallon of coke down here quick!`

The ref could of sent him off firstly for the kick out in the original fair challenge and secondly for the follow through with his elbows 5 minutes before his sickening foul that could at worst seen our captain out for the season. Under Groves we'd conceded 18 goals in 11 games, 21 against in the 19 games since, a bit of a difference. What does concern me, are the number of chances we're squandering. OK, so it's fair to say look at our record, but these misses could of proved very costly and indeed they still could. Our goal difference may end up being vital, we are well off Swindles and had we slaughtered Franchise and Crewe it would of made big strides eating into the difference. We can bemoan defensive mistakes as much as anyone else. I have thought for a long time an Automatic place was not out of the question and I'm even more convinced now... UTCIAD

Jontee, we went through this the other day when you posted similar drivel! Look at the teams behind us, give them the benefit of the doubt that they will win the games in hand, then re-look at the table. You will find us still sat in the play off places!
Look at the teams above us. We have already beaten Tranmere and Doncaster recently. If you think we were struggling before they had a man sent off you live in a dream. I do agree that we should have kept Zubar!!

The point being made that we have to play the top teams is somewhat spurious given that;
a)..as we are only a quarter of the way into the second half of the season all the other top teams will also have to play most of the other top teams therefore taking points off each other
and b)-the teams chasing may well have games in hand but they haven`t won those points yet;the reasoning being that most managers,players and supporters would rather have the points than the games in hand.

My take is that Zubar wouldn't be getting any game time with us at the moment sat on the bench or just playing as an overage player in the Development squad so it's a good move for Zubar, us and Bury.
