As Wigan rung the changes, Cherries ran the show. Well, for the majority of the game.
Starting brightly, Eddie Howe’s men took a first-half lead through Eunan O’Kane’s superb strike.
Josh McQuoid, Steve Cook and Harry Arter all went close after the break but Wigan, who improved after the break, forced a replay when Jordi Gomez equalised after the playmaker’s penalty had been parried back into his path by Shwan Jalal.

EXPERT OPINION – Ex-Cherries boss and QPR manager Harry Redknapp
Redknapp, in an exclusive interview with the Daily Echo, said: “Bournemouth have got a big chance because they are playing so well at the moment. It wasn’t a massive shock when they went to Wigan and drew.
“I wouldn’t be surprised to see Bournemouth turn them over in the replay.
“A lot depends on what Roberto Martinez does with his team and that will be key. Wigan are a decent team and played well at Fulham on Saturday to get a good point. If he plays his best team, it will be difficult for Bournemouth because they pass the ball ever so well. But if he decides to make wholesale changes, I think Bournemouth will beat them.”

Tindall told the Daily Echo: “When you are the home team, there is more emphasis on you to attack and to take the game to the opposition. We have got to do what we feel is right to win the game.
“We will have a game-plan and, hopefully, if we can stick to it, we will get it right. We have got to give Wigan a lot of respect. They are a Premier League side and have got players who can hurt you in an instant. We have got to be mindful of the quality they have got."
Tindall added: “As a kid, you always dreamed of scoring the winning goal in the FA Cup final and, when I was growing up, I used to dream that I was Ian Wright scoring in the cup final because he was my hero. It is a great cup and a great occasion for the supporters and the players.”
