The weather conditions today will , if the game is played, make it a lottery, driving rain and a heavy pitch aren't conducive to good football and these are likely to be the conditions that all but one of the Christmas period games will be played in Players too will be tired and this is where our large squad wil come into it's own. We will need some luck to keep the run going and we could well lose a match or two. But there's a long way to go and many more matches to be played.. .

there are a lot of matches to be played, and it is good to use the squad, but please Eddie do not tinker for the sake of it, I have never subscribed to the theory of players being too tired to play two matches in a week, if a fit young man cannot play two matches then there has to be something wrong with him, but the Christmas period is a time when a lot of matches are played in 8 days, so in is inevitable that some players may need nursing along

With the forecast as it is I think there's a very good chance today's game will be off. However, if it is played the conditions will be a leveller and the winner will be who wants it the most. Crewe are a good side and a win today would be a fantastic result but I'd be happy with a draw.

It matters not who Moseley is on loan to weather it be Plymouth, Aldershot or Dingley Dale Village Eleven. Or weather his name is spelt Moseley or Mosley or any other combination of letters.

The fact remains that his loan spell should not have been extended in my view, especially with all the fixtures coming up and the fact that he could or maybe fill MacDonalds position of sitting in front of the back four. This in indeed a footballing issue.

In view of this I believe it is YOUR knowledge of football that my be called into question and not mine as I believe that I have raised a valid point i.e his loan extention and not quibbling my error about the club where he is on loan at or the
mis-spelling of his name.

I am sure that there are some posters on here who do in fact possess a footballing ethos and who can actually see the point I am trying to make.

It seems to me that if your brain was made of elastc it would not stretch the width of a pidgeons skull.

Dear Mr smhinto,
There is no way that Mark Molesley or the player you call Moseley or Mosley would be the first choice, second choice or even third choice to replace MacDonald....so the decision to extend his loan at Plymouth is the correct decision in my mind. He was sent on loan to get playing time so why bring him back to watch games from the stand????? I am sure there is a clause that says he can be recalled from loan at any given time, should we have an injury crisis.
Have you been pulling your crackers early.....usually they have jokes inside, but it seems, typically yours have insults. Add this one to your list then.....if your brain was made of putty you wouldn't have enough to stop your windows blowing out.

As I have said many times before most of us want Pompey to survive and I am sure they will. Why people have to resort to slagging each others Teams off is beyond me I wouldnt let it bother you It would appear that some do have short memories Scum have come close to the wire financially as have Brighton us and now Portsmouth Pompey helped us out big time with Loan players to help keep us going when Redknapp was there

Not a lot of Christmas spirit amongst some football supporters, it seems. Personally I like to see all the South Coast Clubs do well, except when they play us of course. I hope Portsmouth survive and prosper, that the Saints manage to stay up and Brighton continue to progress. All of the South Coast Clubs have been through very hard times in recent years and any one of us could have gone out of business. But we are all still here, so be thankful and enjoy supporting your Club - it is after all supposed to be the Season of Good Will to all Mankind, after all. A very Happy Christmas and New Year to everyone, regardless of the team they support.

Playing on a very wet pitch yesterday would have been a lottery. So despite the wasted journey I hope the weather did us a favour! Can't wait for the next few matches, we are in exciting times! UTCIAD! Happy Christmas everyone!

The more teams we have in the south the better, nothing like a good healthy rivalry, even better if we can have as many local teams in the same division, the championship next season would be fantastic if Afcb go up, scummers & Reading get relegated & with Brighton there too. You can't beat local derbies

I see some of you lot are infesting our site so just need to point out a couple of things. You are in div 3, we are in the Prem. You are being bankrolled by a Russian every week. You cannot sustain the level of wages you pay out on your income without yor sugar daddy. Remember the last south coast club to try this???? PFC, and look at where they are now. That's you lot when the Russian gets bored.

Course, you only got three stands and around 5000 fans, you also got a mad chairman. So bit of advice, guys, keep a low profile, or yet again you will be the laughing stock of the lower league's.

Derby games are about location, if they are supposed to be close games I don't remember it being to close when Pompey came to you in the cup a few years ago, what was the score, 4-1 to Pompey wasn't it, real close game that one
