Boscombe flats sell for £1 million each
TWO properties at Barratt Homes's Honeycombe Beach development in Boscombe have sold for £1 million each.
The penthouse apartments on the top levels of each of the nine blocks at the development near the pier have incredible views across the sea towards Hengistbury Head and Poole, as well as spacious roof terraces.
Three of the 12 penthouse suites have been purchased off-plan with more than 40 per cent of all apartments, with prices starting from £235,000, already sold.
"People are starting to recognise Boscombe's potential," said Kevin Love, Barratt Homes sales negotiator based at the development who sold the million pound properties.
"This is the time to be buying here. Boscombe Spa Village is on the up and property prices are rocketing. There is extensive regeneration underway and demand is going through the roof.
"This area is charming and is now being compared to Sandbanks. "Honeycombe Beach is a great development because of its fantastic location, practically on the seafront - the views are amazing and the sandy beach is a huge draw."
The seafront transformation, the landscaped gardens and Europe's first artificial surf reef development are all adding to the heightened appeal of the area.
Boscombe is also benefiting from the restoration of historical Shelley Manor, once owned by Frankenstein author Mary Shelley.
"The combination of elegant Mediterranean style beach surroundings and fine surfing is an unbeatable investment. This is destined to be the Dorset Riviera," added Kevin.
