LIGHTS, camera, action... Champagne Productions had reason to celebrate when the honours were handed out at the Dorset Business Awards.
The Weymouth-based company ensured that the annual extravaganza went smoothly at the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC).
And the firm, run by Rob Goodwin, has now secured the contract to stage next year’s glittering event.
Director Rob Goodwin said: “I was pleased to be involved again this year.
“We are already booked again for next year and I will use the same team.
“There were 650 delegates at the event this year and when you consider the economic situation at the moment, that is certainly a very good turnout.”
Mr Goodwin added: “I was proud to be involved again this year.
“We have been part of it pretty much from the beginning and are proud to have helped build it up into something rather special.”
Mr Goodwin and a 25-strong team, including four Weymouth College students, were responsible for setting up and staging the Dorset Business-organised awards at the BIC.
They were responsible for the set, PA system, audio-visual set-up and equipment as well as a hand-held electronic voting system for the charity of the year selected on the night by guests.
The winner of the charity of the year prize, including a £5,000 cheque from Sunseeker, was ReRun, a group which helps runaways in Dorset.
Champagne drew on Atlantic Audio in Lynch Lane, Weymouth, for PA equipment.
