Lorna Whitmarsh has worked at Poole Pottery since 1989.
She uses strong Poole colours to design and create bold, bright, abstract designs with a contemporary twist. Lorna’s competition piece is a vase hand thrown by Master Potter Alan White and decorated by Lorna in underglaze colours.
It features a rock garden theme with white flowers.
Poole Pottery’s rich history in the town dates back to 1873 and it has long been recognised as a centre of excellence for the most skilled craftsmen.
The design team can be seen every day in the working studio. Visitors can even create their own masterpiece in the Paint a Pot studio before relaxing in the Pottery café.
