THE Echo’s Philippines appeal has now broken the £4,000 mark.
Another £1,570 has been donated by kind-hearted readers as the fundraising campaign continues to gather pace in the wake of the disaster.
The newspaper has joined forces with the Disasters Emergency Committee to help those suffering Typhoon Haiyan.
The new £4,000 figure is on top of donations being made by phone, text and online.
To donate send or deliver a cheque made payable to DEC Philippines Typhoon Appeal to the Daily Echo Offices at Richmond Hill, Bournemouth, BH2 6HH or the Dolphin Centre, Poole, BH15 1SZ.
Or visit dec.org.uk or call 0370 606 0900. Donate £5 by texting the word SUPPORT to 70000.
