AS HAUNTING images of the devastation wrought by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines hit the headlines here in the UK, the Daily Echo’s appeal for help continues.

As reported on Wednesday, the paper, in association with the Disasters Emergency Committee, has launched an appeal for Dorset people to give what they can to help with the massive aid efforts.

You can send a cheque payable to DEC Philippines Typhoon Appeal to the Daily Echo offices at Richmond Hill, Bournemouth, BH2 6HH, or the Dolphin Centre, Poole, BH15 1SZ.

You can also visit dec.org.uk, call the 24-hour hotline on 0370 60 60 900, donate over the counter at any high street bank or post office or send in a cheque.

Anyone wishing to text a £5 donation in can send the word SUPPORT to 70000.
