DRIVERS are being warned to allow extra time for their journeys as work begins in North Dorset today (November 6)

The first phase of work on the C13 will see patching take place in various locations between 9am and 4pm until November 17. There will be two-way temporary lights plus some convoy working.

The patching will start at the northern end and work southwards at around 20 sites along the road between Gore Clump and Sunrise Business Park.

This will be followed by night work at sunrise Business Park between 7pm and 7am from November 20 to 25 with a section of the road closed.

Dorset County Council received £2,492,000 from the Government’s National Productivity Investment Fund, which will be used to carry out structural maintenance and improvements along the C13 and the A350.

Resurfacing work will take place on the A350 at Stourpaine from November 27 to December 15 on weekdays only. While at Steepleton Bends, there will be kerbing, lining and signing during the same period. The work will take place between 7pm and 7am with a section of the road closed.

Access will be maintained for emergency services at all times. Residents will be able to access their homes but there may a short delay.

During November and December, drainage improvement work will also be carried out on the A350 at its junction with Whitecliff Mill Hill and in Stourpaine.
