Firefighters were called to extinguish grassland on fire at the A31 on Sunday afternoon.
Two appliances were joined by off-road vehicle at Ameysford following the call at 4.55pm.
Police were also called to attend to close the road while the fire was dealt with.
A stop message was issued at 5.20pm and the road was reopened shortly afterwards.
