A crash involving two vans caused major disruption on the A31 this morning.
Police and paramedics were called to westbound carriageway close to Burley services at around 7.12am.
Officers closed the inside lane to allow the ambulances access.
The two Transit vans were moved to the hard shoulder while police dealt with the incident.
Two people were injured in the collision.
Paramedics treated the patients - a man in his 40s and a man in his 20s - for possible back injuries.
Both patients were taken to Royal Bournemouth Hospital.
The road was reopen at 8.30am but there were long delays due to the road closure.
