FIREFIGHTERS were called to rescue an elderly man who fell 15 metres down a hill in Bournemouth.
Police were called at just after 7.30am to reports of a concern for welfare of a man aged in his 80s.
Officers located the man who had fallen down an embankment in Alumdale Road in Bournemouth.
A fire crew from Westbourne and technical rescue teams from Poole and Weymouth were requested to attend.
The man was then passed to the care of South Western Ambulance Service, who sent an ambulance and a rapid response vehicle to the scene.
