TICKETS are now available for the Pride in Bournemouth charity auction.
All 50 of the large lion sculptures featured in the public art exhibition will go under the hammer at the Pavilion on Sunday September 18.
The colourful lions are currently delighting residents and visitors to the town and the auction will give people the chance to own one for good.
The event will be hosted by actor Martin Clunes, wildlife campaigner Virginia McKenna, children’s TV star Chris Jarvis and the auctioneer from TV’s Bargain Hunt, James Lewis.
Money raised from the auction will go to local charity Julia’s House and international organisation, the Born Free Foundation.
The event starts with a drinks reception at 6.15pm, followed by the auction at 7pm. Tickets cost £15 for both or just £5 for those who wish to attend the auction alone. They are available in person from the BIC or Pavilion box offices, by calling the ticket line on 0844 576 3000 or go to bic.co.uk.
All lions will be displayed on the Pavilion terrace over the weekend of September 17 and 18 before they leave to join their new owners.
Pride in Bournemouth is the latest in a series of exhibitions in towns and cities across the UK, which have included Elephant Parade in London and Go Penguins in Liverpool.
