Parking Mad
Easing the scrum at school zig-zag zone
PARKING problems outside Ringwood Junior School have been all but ironed out thanks to the town council reopening the nearby cemetery car park.
The Echo spotted only two "Parking Mad" drivers who drew up on yellow zig-zag lines.
A third pulled up but, realising her child was not at the gate, drove off again, presumably in search of a safer location.
One of the offending cars was parked on the zig-zag lines for several minutes and the other was outside the gate for a shorter period while a little girl walked from the gate and climbed into the vehicle.
There have been past problems at the school in Hightown Road.
As recently as April 2, parents were sent a newsletter which stated: "We continue to have problems with parents double parking, obstructing residents' driveways and leaving vehicles unattended. Please park safely and show consideration to others."
| “We have had reports that parents from our school are still allowing children to run around the cemetery, playing games around the graves and generally not being supervised." | | Ringwood Junior School newsletter |

It added: "We have had reports that parents from our school are still allowing children to run around the cemetery, playing games around the graves and generally not being supervised.
"If this continues, the town council will not allow parents to use the cemetery to park before and after school.
"We do not want to lose this facility, so please show respect if you use the car park."
The message seems to have gone home. Only one driver parked across entrances to a pair of garages in Kingsfield and he waited in the car. In the cemetery car park, behaviour was exemplary.

THIS IS NOT NEWS!
Echo, you can't just invent cruddy campaigns and then start writing self congratulatory pieces on them. Just stop it, please!

When this happening at all schools then maybe, and only maybe can you think of achievement. There is a long way to go yet Echo.

What a strange irony. Parents end up in a cemetary whether their children get killed on the road or not.

But the idea is to get into the cemetary before your kids.

Yeah, women with PMT. How dare they, eh? Suffering something they can't avoid, biologically, why dont' they just stay at home and let their children wander the streets.
As for cemetERYs - you know what, maybe the dead like the company of youthful people running around.
As for Attitude Nowadays. Whdy don'twe just lock women up and throw away the keys, eh???
