IT might seem the people fighting to save Upper Parkstone’s public toilets are getting desperate.
But it is surely good news that 2,000 people were so upset about the limitations of the new ‘community toilet scheme’ that they put their names to a petition.
Traders are looking into the possibility of taking over the run-down loos under the Community Right to Bid scheme.
That is surely a welcome sign that community spirit is still alive and well in the area – whether or not it turns out that the campaigners have nowhere left to go.
