CHRISTCHURCH will surely get a new supermarket one day.
Yet the debate over the three rival proposals for the town has surely gone on for quite long enough.
The developer Quantum hopes “very shortly” to reveal details of its scheme, approved in principle in 2012.
Meanwhile, a Morrisons scheme is going before an appeal, while plans for a supermarket at Somerford have been given the green light by an inspector.
After all the delay, most people won’t believe the town is really getting a big new retailer until they are in its aisles stacking their trolley.
