JANE Ormerod, in today’s Echo, is a remarkable woman.

Having dealt with the loss of her son, Nicholas, three years ago after he was stabbed in Boscombe and dealing with the ensuing court case, she has turned tragedy into something positive.

She focused her energy on setting up Turn Your Back UK to educate young people about the consequences of knife crime; she has worked tirelessly to make sure that her son didn’t die in vain.

After this month’s attacks, we hope that her work is supported by those with influence.
