NOBODY would want the experience of taking a driving test to be any more stressful than it already is.

So the proposal to close the current Northbourne test centre and transfer it to Poole’s Nuffield Industrial Estate has understandably caused concern.

Many instructors are especially worried about the time and expense that will be involved for pupils.

Others point out that the current centre is looking as clapped-out as a teenager’s first Vauxhall Nova.

Whatever the decision, it should be based on the interests of the area’s L-drivers, not on cost-cutting.
