THE position may not come as any great surprise, but Bournemouth council has now made clear where it stands on the windfarm.
The authority says that hundreds of thousands of visitors will be put off from visiting the area if the scheme goes ahead. They use some of Navitus’ own statistics to illustrate just how dramatic the effect will be, not least in the construction phase of four and a half years.
The council’s official report, concludes that it would have a “huge negative impact.” On this issue at least, the council can probably fairly claim to reflect public opinion.
