SO the expected downpour predicted for Dorset on Saturday never happened.

Weather experts had forecast thunderstorms for the area and issued an amber weather warning.

In the event it was cloudy for the main part and then some sunshine burst through later in the afternoon.

All this was good news for visitors who have been flocking to the county since the hot spell began and for event organisers who must have been thrilled with the outcome.

The added bonus is that there’s more sunny weather on its way this week.

Bring it on.

There we are BBC, clearly the answer to all this tourist towns problems is to control the weather! I'm sure there is a company out their, like the one that sold the surf reef to BBC, that could sell our Butchers, Bakers and Candlestick makers a weather control machine!
