THE Bournemouth Food and Drink Festival – which ended at the weekend – has been a big success.
The town’s mayor Chris Mayne got involved in the event on Saturday learning how to make the perfect treats for afternoon tea.
But among the culinary delights there was a serious message.
Bournemouth council is urging people to reduce their food waste.
At the moment, the average household throws away £600 of food a year.
If that number is significantly reduced, then that should mean big savings all round.
