YET again crashes brought two of Dorset’s major roads to a standstill yesterday, causing thousands of frustrated motorists to be held up for hours.
Thankfully no serious injuries were sustained on the Bournemouth Spur Road or at Canford Bottom, but the cost to all those held up would have added up to hundreds of wasted hours, costing our economy.
The emergency services have a job to do and safety is paramount.
But surely something can be done to help Dorset’s roads cope better with situations like these.
