Solution to tricky problem

IT has to be said that sometimes the councils are stuck between a rock and a hard place when it comes to traveller camps on public land.

The decision at the weekend to shut the Bath Road South car park in Bournemouth because a few motorhomes – that were causing no problems – had parked up might seem bonkers, but it was taken to make sure the area wasn’t over-run.

It meant that a central car park stood empty on a busy weekend, inconveniencing people and costing the council money. Will a solution to this ongoing run-around ever be found?

Yes, a solution can be found. When our government bow to public pressure, remove the catch-all excuse for preferential treatment 'ethnic minority' from travellers & ensure that the laws of this country apply equally to all residents & visitors regardless of ethnicity, religion or colour. When the police & Councils are forced to drop the mask of 'Political Correctness' - which is actually only used as an excuse to either do nothing or to discriminate against the law abiding in favour of the lawbreakers. That is the solution.

Were the motor homes checked for tax, insurance and most of all PARKING TICKETS or were they let off those as well, never get the answer as then the public will not have to buy a ticket ???
