Signs may prevent attacks

First published in Opinion

THERE have been a number of attacks by animals on people in the New Forest over the past couple of weeks.

A 38-year-old nurse was bitten by donkeys at Hatchet Pond near Beaulieu.

And two women were chased and butted by cows in Lymington.

Now an 81-year-old woman has been attacked in Lymington by a pregnant cow while walking on land off Normandy Lane with her dog.

Hampshire County Council has put up warning signs.

Let us all hope that they do the trick.
