So-called roofer is real piece of work

First published in Opinion

IT’S always a pleasure to see a real piece of work get sent down.

And Danny Sherwood is a real piece of work.

The so-called roofer has a history of ripping off people - for his latest offence he picked on a 74-year-old woman, charging her more than £2,000 for work that wasn’t necessary.

Sherwood’s father, Kevin, was in court to see his son sentenced.

He must have been very proud.

He has recently completed a jail term himself after doing unnecessary work for an elderly couple. Danny Sherwood’s victim asked him when he cold called: “You’re not rogues are you?”

How right she was.

Another piece of low life off the streets, as the saying goes, like father like son. Hope inside he gets his just deserts. Can only hope what few personal items he goes in with are soon removed by someone else, see how he feels then .

Unfortunately he's only off the streets for what, three or four months? Still, at the end of his sentence he'll come out a completely reformed character and life will be happier for everybody concerned.
