THE BIC will be an entertaining venue tomorrow afternoon. And not for the usual reasons. Around 1,000 people will pack the Tregonwell Hall for a public meeting on the proposed offshore wind farm. It’s the largest meeting so far on the issue that’s been at the top of the local political and environmental agenda for the past three years.
It’s coincidence that the scheme cleared its first major hurdle yesterday when the Planning Inspectorate said the application could go forward.
There’ll be plenty of heat and wind at the meeting. Whether there’ll be much light is another matter.
