Nobody wants a repeat of last summer.
For three months, travellers occupied various pieces of open space across Bournemouth and Poole, in some instances simply going from one place to another, one step ahead of the legal process. Bournemouth council had a measure of success with its lockdown policy. Now Poole is beefing up security at six key sites.
These measures may not be enough, but at least it’s a start.
Residents across both boroughs have had enough of those who stick two fingers to the law and do as they please as and when they feel like it.
