THE decision by Dorset Police to delete images of the stepdaughter he abused from a paedophile’s laptop is a huge victory for the family concerned.
The sense of relief for the mother and her two girls is overwhelming. But it’s not the end of the matter by any means. Police chiefs know they may face legal action from the abuser but are confident their decision is the right thing to do.
Every right minded individual will agree. But the law needs changing. As Martyn Underhill said at the outset of this case, no victim should ever be put in this situation. The job isn’t over, not by a long way.
