Vote gets tied up in Nottage

SOME might think that a victory through your own casting vote doesn’t exactly come with a huge stamp of authority. Others will say all that matters is the result. A win is a win is a win.

Christchurch council leader Ray Nottage last night fought off a leadership challenge in which exactly half of his own councillors voted for the other candidate.

Be that as it may, he will now lead the Christchurch Conservatives on the council into the elections in May 2015. By all accounts he has promised to adopt a more conciliatory approach with the public. Certainly, that would be a good start.

If one could believe in this statement then one must believe in pixy dust.
If he is leading the conservative in the next general election , Peppe Pig will have greater chance of winning.
This man could not lead a horse to water let alone lead a council let alone an election.
I really hope the people of Christchurch see that come the next polls.

This situation must be all of UKIP's dreams coming true in one go, a bigger deterrent to the people of Christchurch voting Conservative locally or nationally in future would be very difficult to invent!

Come on Ray, be realistic, either change your bullying tactics and listen to to the residents, OR RESIGN. How long will it take you to GET THE MESSAGE!

Most people have no individual opinion and just go with the flow, our politicians rely upon this. It's time we began to give respect to alternative opinions and attempted to change our supine attitudes. Vote for what YOU believe , ignore the party line, remove the Nottages of this world.
