YESTERDAY was a busy one if you were a Dorset firefighter. First a major incident at a block of flats in Poole followed by a bus blaze on the A338 Bournemouth Spur Road.
Then a serious collision between a lorry and a car in North Dorset which required one casualty being cut free from his vehicle. All in a day’s work for the crews of Dorset Fire and Rescue, coming at the end of weeks of dealing with the floods.
Coincidentally, DFRS is seeking to recruit more retained firefighters, holding a series of open evenings in Dorset next week. They do an amazing job. But they could do with help.
