THE long-running saga of the Pavilion Gardens scheme has taken a number of twists in the past few days. Bournemouth’s Conservative leaders appear to have lost patience with Trevor Osborne’s plan, believing it won’t materialise.

Other councillors have ‘called in’ the decision for scutiny at a meeting tomorrow night. Meanwhile, Mr Osborne is urging the council to get on with its compulsory purchase of the Exeter Road car park which would scupper the rival Licet scheme – all approved, funded and ready to go. The situation is a mess. And it’s no way to do business.
