ANOTHER community was in mourning this weekend as another local resident became a road death statistic in the blink of an eye.
Friday night’s hit and run tragedy in Poole has cost a 69-year-old his life.
The victim is the 29th death on the roads in Dorset in 2013.
At least one person knows what happened on Darbys Lane between 7.15pm and 7.30pm on Friday - the driver of the vehicle that knocked the man down. He or she will be caught, that much is inevitable. As is the continuing carnage on the road unless something radical happens.
