IT’S a bad sign when Ofsted parachutes inspectors into a local authority because it is unhappy with performance.
Specifically Ofsted wants to know why too few of Bournemouth’s schools are ranked as good. In the national rankings, the borough is way down the league tables for primary and secondary performance.
The words of Ofsted official, Bradly Simmons are an indictment of the standard of education a large number of children are receiving. Executive director, Jane Portman and cabinet member Cllr Nicola Greene have some serious questions to answer it would seem.
