Fast food good for area
10:55am Monday 21st October 2013 in Opinion
THE many thousands of motorists who use the A31 daily will now get to enjoy a McDonald’s at Picket Post, where a Little Chef once stood.
There have been reservations about siting the popular restaurant chain there. And again there was a lone objection on litter grounds when the plan was approved by the New Forest National Park Authority.
But the fact is people do use McDonald’s and will dine there.
And the US fast-food chain will employ up to 85 people. All in all, it’s good news for passing, peckish motorists and those seeking employment.
