Motto seems to be true

IT is not the biggest surprise in the world, especially if you have ever spent some time there.
Christchurch has a higher percentage of retired residents than anywhere in the country.
Around 30 per cent in the town are over 65, compared with a national average of 16.4 per cent.
One of the residents is the sprightly mayor, Cllr John Lofts, who sets a fine example for the ancient borough’s senior citizens.
Christchurch’s motto, ‘Where Time is Pleasant’ may not be the snappiest.
But it certainly seems to be true.
