Brave duo should receive an award
9:55am Friday 8th March 2013 in Opinion
Bradley Moss and Neil Baumber
IT’S often said there are fewer Good Samaritans these days.
Media reports detail witnesses who avoid an incident and don’t bother to help people in trouble.
So the Echo today pays tribute to two workmates who helped rescue two women from a horrifying car crash.
Bradley Moss, 26, and Neil Baumber, 25, didn’t hesitate when they saw a car lose control, leave the A338 Spur Road and land upside down in a waterlogged ditch.
The duo, following the car in a van, leapt into action and, without a thought for their own safety, managed to pull the two women out from the back of the vehicle, which was filling up with water.
As PC Mark Palmer from Dorset Police told the Echo the women were “lucky to be alive”.
The next time bravery awards are handed out, it would be nice to see the names of these two men at the top of the list.
