The decent thing for broken family
11:25am Tuesday 5th March 2013 in Opinion
THE video footage of Sharon Clark, the mother of 16-year-old Jade, trying to make an appeal following her daughter’s awful death makes very harrowing viewing. Mrs Clark was barely able to form her words as she faced a press conference yesterday, eight days after her “baby” lost her life while riding a moped on the A31 near Ringwood.
Jade was, “a wonderful daughter and stepdaughter, granddaughter, sister and friend.”
Put that together with the lovely image of Jade that the family issued and you get some idea of the total heartbreak that they have suffered. We can only hope that the Volvo driver who police believe was in collision with Jade as she rode along, has some inkling of the devastation he or she has caused.
The message to this person is simple. Do the decent thing, come forward and provide this broken family with some tiny crumb of comfort. To do otherwise would be unthinkable.
