Why we must all help the homeless (From Bournemouth Echo)

well its going to get worse after April when more people get deeper into trouble due to this governments enforced council tax charges on the poor and needy, Then we get creeps like David (i dont care) Cameron chairing poverty conference when back at home he is driving his own people into destitution and poverty with out a care in the world, vote Tory look after the rich sod the rest

In the case of the 42 year old man who died I don't think one can pass judgement until a full profile is supplied because without that its impossible to know cause and effect and therefore what action to take.
That said I quite agree that there are too many pressures that have build up that could increase the number of homeless people. Many of these are not new. For example why have different Governments tolerated the high level of unemployment that has been around now for over 30 years? Why have they pursued policies that have resulted in very high property prices and rents? Why have the public been willing to elect such Governments? As these Governments have included a large proportion of Oxbridge Graduates it is clear to me that as educated as they might be in their own subjects the public should not just assume that these people are the best equipped to run the UK. There is a clear lack of team effort in the UK and there appears little likelihood of change any time soon as all these Oxbridge educated Graduates appear to do when in Government is essentially prop up the status quo. Why for example in Germany (the most successful economy in Europe) do they share the money around more whilst in the UK we seem content with the taxpayer propping up low wages?
