THERE has been much talk about the legacy from the 2012 Olympics.
And as we head into 2013 the proof is out there in Dorset.
A large number of people have taken to cycling, inspired by our medal winners during the summer Games.
Then there’s quite a few folk donning running gear and trying their luck at jogging to gain some fitness.
It’s heartening news especially as we hear of the obesity problems in this country as well as those addicted to smoking and drinking.
This year we have the Bournemouth Marathon to add to the sporting calendar which hopefully will attract many entrants and be well supported.
But the Cherries could prove to be the icing on the cake.
Boss Eddie Howe has done wonders in taking AFC Bournemouth from the relegation zone to promotion contenders.
Who knows, come May, we may have a team to support in the Championship.
