ANOTHER day. Another traffic jam.

This time it’s the A338 Wessex Way in Bournemouth.

Yesterday a single-vehicle accident near the Cooper Dean roundabout just before 6am managed to snarl up most of the immediate area for nearly three hours.

And a series of minor accidents added to the misery. It wasn’t until nearly 11am that traffic was flowing freely.

One motorist contacted the Echo to say that a journey that would normally take about 20 minutes took him an hour and a half. And he wasn’t alone.

One said that he drove around for two hours before heading back home. Another said they gave up trying to take a child to school.

We wish all the drivers involved in the crashes well and speedy recoveries to all those injured.

Something must be done to ensure accidents that happen outside rush hour do not impact on busy times.
